ABOUT
"a biography or short biographical profile of someone."
Spoort have been playing together since primary school, and their brazenly eclectic sound
combines live indie rock, soul, trap production, or whatever they’re feeling on the day. They
released their debut EP at the height of COVID through House Anxiety (Courtney Barnett,
King Krule, KEYAH/BLU), produced with James Dring (Gorillaz, Sorry), Tom Carmichael
(Jerkcurb, Jamie Isaac) and Duc Peterman of HMLTD.
The aftermath saw the band receive high praise from the likes of the FADER, 6 Music and DIY, stream a live set from the TATE Britain, and be lauded in Jack Saunders’ Next Wave on Radio 1.
They have since been on a single spree, collaborating with the likes of Ashbeck, Rasharn Powell and most recently with Jaydonclover on their latest single release E.A.U.T.N.
While the name comesrom the Dutch word for ‘tracks’, it’s just pronounced ‘sport’, as is the stubborn wont of the Englishman.
